Landside Restricted Zones on GPC berths and wharves are signposted at their entrances; to enter one unsupervised you need GPC's authorisation and a current MSIC, and other landside areas need authorisation and a current GPC ID card.
Your MSIC is a national card. An MSIC issued by ClientView is valid at the Port of Rockhampton, whether you know it as Rockhampton or Port Alma, and at every other security regulated port and offshore facility in Australia.
Gladstone Ports Corporation states that the Ports of Gladstone, Rockhampton and Bundaberg are security regulated ports, with maritime security zones in use under Commonwealth legislation, and that its sites receiving security regulated shipping operate under the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Act 2003 and the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Regulations 2003. Gladstone Ports Corporation ceased being an authorised MSIC issuing body on 12 June 2026. Its own MSIC page now directs holders of cards it issued to one named issuing body it has arranged support with, for actions such as renewing a card or reporting one that is expired, lost, suspended or no longer needed. That describes the support arrangement Gladstone Ports Corporation made for its own former cardholders, not a rule about which issuing body you must use. A Maritime Security Identification Card shows that you have met the background checking requirements for unmonitored access to a maritime security zone at an Australian port, on a ship or at an offshore facility. It is issued under the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Regulations 2003, made under the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Act 2003.

No. Any criminal history declaration required for an MSIC is made to AusCheck, not to ClientView. As your issuing body, ClientView does not collect or assess criminal history. AusCheck advises us of the outcome only.
Renew before the expiry date to keep continuous access, since an expired card means no unmonitored access from day one. If your card is lost, stolen or damaged, apply for a replacement straight away.
