Landside Restricted Zones on GPC berths and wharves are signposted at their entrances; to enter one unsupervised you need GPC's authorisation and a current MSIC, and other landside areas need authorisation and a current GPC ID card.
Your MSIC is a national card. An MSIC issued by ClientView is valid at Gladstone and at every other security regulated port and offshore facility in Australia.
Gladstone Ports Corporation stopped issuing MSICs itself from 12 June 2026 and now directs holders of cards it issued to another authorised issuing body; any authorised issuing body's MSIC, ClientView's included, is accepted. Local induction and site access remain separate from MSIC issue.

MSICs for Gladstone are issued by Australian Government authorised issuing bodies such as ClientView: the application runs fully online, identity is verified at one of at least 324 Australia Post outlets that offer the MSIC identity check (Australia Post outlet locator, 27 August 2026), and ready applications are lodged with AusCheck each business day. Gladstone Ports Corporation is no longer an authorised MSIC issuing body itself, so an Australian Government authorised issuing body such as ClientView now handles new applications. A Maritime Security Identification Card shows that you have met the background checking requirements for unmonitored access to a maritime security zone at an Australian port, on a ship or at an offshore facility. It is issued under the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Regulations 2003, made under the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Act 2003.

A written confirmation, usually from your employer, that your job genuinely requires unmonitored access to a maritime security zone at least once each year (r. 6.07F(1)). Without it an application cannot proceed. On our Silver and Gold levels we help you get it sorted.
No. Any criminal history declaration required for an MSIC is made to AusCheck, not to ClientView. As your issuing body, ClientView does not collect or assess criminal history. AusCheck advises us of the outcome only.
Renew before the expiry date to keep continuous access, since an expired card means no unmonitored access from day one. If your card is lost, stolen or damaged, apply for a replacement straight away.
