The Port of Onslow, at Beadon Creek and Beadon Point on the Pilbara coast, is a marine support base serving offshore oil and gas, construction and supply work. It is a declared port in its own right and sits a short distance along the coast from the Port of Ashburton, which ClientView also covers.
Onslow is security regulated. The Federal Register of Legislation carries the Notice of Declaration of Security Regulated Port, Port of Onslow, Beadon Point (C2013G01245, registered 12 August 2013 and in force), made under the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Act 2003, and the port's own Port User Handbook states that the port is a designated Security Regulated Port in accordance with subsection 13(1) of that Act. An MSIC is required for unmonitored access to a maritime security zone at a security regulated port at least once each year (r. 6.07F(1)), so anyone whose role needs that access must hold one.

The port's own Port User Handbook repeats that status, stating that the port is a designated Security Regulated Port in accordance with subsection 13(1) of that Act. The handbook sets out port procedures rather than card rules, so confirm current induction and site access arrangements with the port operator or your employer before your first visit.

Onslow has its own participating Australia Post outlet offering the MSIC identity check (Australia Post outlet locator, 28 August 2026), so the check can be completed in town. It can also be completed at any participating outlet nationally. Current as at 2 September 2026.

Renew before the expiry date to keep continuous access, since an expired card means no unmonitored access from day one. If your card is lost, stolen or damaged, apply for a replacement straight away.
