Gippsland Ports has one Secure Marine Facility, at Port Welshpool; Barry Beach has two separate private facilities, the Port Anthony Marine Terminal and the ExxonMobil Barry Beach Marine Terminal.
Your MSIC is a national card. An MSIC issued by ClientView is valid at Barry Beach, across the Port of Corner Inlet and Port Albert, and at every other security regulated port and offshore facility in Australia.
Many applicants know this port only as "Barry Beach Marine Terminal", but two separate private facilities share Barry Beach: the Port Anthony Marine Terminal and the ExxonMobil Barry Beach Marine Terminal. Check which one you are going to, and confirm its site access and induction arrangements with that facility or your employer before your first visit. Read Gippsland Ports' page for the port.
None of the Australia Post outlets around the port, at Port Welshpool, Welshpool, Toora, Foster, Port Albert or Yarram, offers the MSIC identity check. The nearest confirmed outlet is Leongatha Post Office (Australia Post outlet locator, checked 23 September 2026), and the check can be completed at any participating outlet nationally. Once you are verified we lodge your application with AusCheck. We lodge ready applications every business day.
After approval your MSIC is printed and sent by registered post to the address you nominate.

Yes, for unmonitored access to a maritime security zone. The Port of Corner Inlet and Port Albert is a security regulated port declared under the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Act 2003, and Gippsland Ports' own page states that it encompasses the Port Anthony Marine Terminal and the ExxonMobil Barry Beach Marine Terminal. Anyone who needs unmonitored access to a maritime security zone there at least once each year (r. 6.07F(1)) must hold a valid MSIC. [Source: Gippsland Ports]

A Maritime Security Identification Card shows that you have met the background checking requirements for unmonitored access to a maritime security zone at an Australian port, on a ship or at an offshore facility. It is issued under the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Regulations 2003, made under the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Act 2003.

No. Any criminal history declaration required for an MSIC is made to AusCheck, not to ClientView. As your issuing body, ClientView does not collect or assess criminal history. AusCheck advises us of the outcome only.
Renew before the expiry date to keep continuous access, since an expired card means no unmonitored access from day one. If your card is lost, stolen or damaged, apply for a replacement straight away.
