Unescorted entry to the Eastern Harbour and Utah Bulk Handling facilities needs a Pilbara Ports site induction as well as an MSIC for the land-side restricted zone; without both you are escorted through the Security Gatehouse.
Your MSIC is a national card. An MSIC issued by ClientView is valid at Port Hedland and at every other security regulated port and offshore facility in Australia.
BHP, Fortescue and Roy Hill each operate their own terminals with separate site inductions, and FIFO rosters are common in the Pilbara. Confirm current local requirements and induction timing with your employer or terminal operator before your first shift.

A Maritime Security Identification Card shows that you have met the background checking requirements for unmonitored access to a maritime security zone at an Australian port, on a ship or at an offshore facility. It is issued under the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Regulations 2003, made under the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Act 2003.

No. Any criminal history declaration required for an MSIC is made to AusCheck, not to ClientView. As your issuing body, ClientView does not collect or assess criminal history. AusCheck advises us of the outcome only.
Renew before the expiry date to keep continuous access, since an expired card means no unmonitored access from day one. If your card is lost, stolen or damaged, apply for a replacement straight away.
