Your MSIC is a national card. An MSIC issued by ClientView is valid at Lucinda and at every other security regulated port and offshore facility in Australia.
The Port of Lucinda is operated by Port of Townsville Limited. The operator states that both Townsville and Lucinda are security regulated ports with approved security plans in place. Port of Townsville stopped processing MSIC applications on 14 July 2023, so you apply through an issuing body rather than to the port. AusCheck's own published register lists eight authorised MSIC issuing bodies, ClientView among them. There is no Australia Post outlet offering the MSIC identity check in Ingham. The nearest confirmed outlets are in Townsville (Australia Post outlet locator, checked 31 August 2026). Current as at 31 August 2026.

Yes, for the maritime security zone. Port of Townsville states that the Ports of Townsville and Lucinda are security regulated ports under the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Act 2003, with approved security plans in place, so a person who needs unmonitored access at least once each year (r. 6.07F(1)) must hold an MSIC. A Maritime Security Identification Card shows that you have met the background checking requirements for unmonitored access to a maritime security zone at an Australian port, on a ship or at an offshore facility. It is issued under the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Regulations 2003, made under the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Act 2003.

No. Any criminal history declaration required for an MSIC is made to AusCheck, not to ClientView. As your issuing body, ClientView does not collect or assess criminal history. AusCheck advises us of the outcome only.
Renew before the expiry date to keep continuous access, since an expired card means no unmonitored access from day one. If your card is lost, stolen or damaged, apply for a replacement straight away.
