Site access
Your MSIC is a national card. An MSIC issued by ClientView is valid at every security regulated port and offshore facility in Australia, and Flinders Ports states that you will need an MSIC to obtain a Flinders Ports Access Card.
Flinders Ports lists Klein Point among its regional ports, with its entry point at an access gate, and states that security level 1 is the normal security level at its facilities (Flinders Ports, Ports Security, checked 1 October 2026). If the security level rises to level 2 or 3, its electronic access gates are staffed, port users must show their MSIC to security personnel at the gates, and the card must be correctly displayed at all times on site. Klein Point is not a declared security regulated port; access is under Flinders Ports' own policy. Flinders Ports' security page states that its Access Card is issued only to people who hold an MSIC or have applied for one. Confirm access and induction with Flinders Ports before you travel.

Once you are verified we lodge your application with AusCheck. We lodge ready applications every business day.
After approval your MSIC is printed and sent by registered post to the address you nominate.

Flinders Ports lists Klein Point among its regional ports and states that a Flinders Ports access card is issued only to people who already hold an MSIC or can show they have applied for one, and that at security levels 2 and 3 port users must show their MSIC at the gates and display it at all times on site. A Maritime Security Identification Card shows that you have met the background checking requirements for unmonitored access to a maritime security zone at an Australian port, on a ship or at an offshore facility. It is issued under the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Regulations 2003, made under the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Act 2003.

No. Any criminal history declaration required for an MSIC is made to AusCheck, not to ClientView. As your issuing body, ClientView does not collect or assess criminal history. AusCheck advises us of the outcome only.
Renew before the expiry date to keep continuous access, since an expired card means no unmonitored access from day one. If your card is lost, stolen or damaged, apply for a replacement straight away.
