Site access
Entry is at the port's access gate on Jetty Road, where Flinders Ports Access Card holders swipe in and non-access card holders must be escorted by an authorised person.
Your MSIC is a national card. An MSIC issued by ClientView is valid at Wallaroo and at every other security regulated port and offshore facility in Australia.
Flinders Ports sets its own access card and induction requirements on top of your MSIC. Confirm current local arrangements with Flinders Ports or your employer before your first visit.
A South Australian Government Notice to Mariners confirms a maritime security zone is established at Wallaroo, and Flinders Ports' security page states that your valid MSIC must be displayed in accordance with MSIC display requirements at all times. Read the SA Government notice.
Flinders Ports' security page states that its Access Card is issued only to people who hold an MSIC or have applied for one. Your MSIC is valid at Wallaroo whichever authorised issuing body issued it. There is no Australia Post outlet offering the MSIC identity check at Wallaroo itself. The nearest confirmed outlet is in Kadina (Australia Post outlet locator, 28 August 2026). The check can be completed at any participating outlet nationally. Current as at 2 September 2026.
Your MSIC and permission to enter are separate

After approval your MSIC is printed and sent by registered post to the address you nominate.

A South Australian Government Notice to Mariners confirms that maritime security zones are established under the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Act 2003 within the boundaries of the security regulated port of Wallaroo, and Flinders Ports' security page states that your valid MSIC must be displayed in accordance with MSIC display requirements at all times, so a person who needs unmonitored access at least once each year (r. 6.07F(1)) must hold one. A Maritime Security Identification Card shows that you have met the background checking requirements for unmonitored access to a maritime security zone at an Australian port, on a ship or at an offshore facility. It is issued under the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Regulations 2003, made under the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Act 2003.

No. Any criminal history declaration required for an MSIC is made to AusCheck, not to ClientView. As your issuing body, ClientView does not collect or assess criminal history. AusCheck advises us of the outcome only.
Renew before the expiry date to keep continuous access, since an expired card means no unmonitored access from day one. If your card is lost, stolen or damaged, apply for a replacement straight away.
