Important details to keep in mind during the MSIC renewal process

The MSIC card renewal process is pretty simple. However, there are a few things you need to keep in mind to avoid any complications. These issues include the following:

  • You need to make sure that you start the renewal process early enough. We suggest that you begin at around a month before your old MSIC is due to expire.
  • You can’t forget to return your expired MSIC card. If you don’t return it within 30 days, you might have to pay a $1,800 fee. Fortunately, you can easily return it by post or in person by visiting our office.
  • You need to make sure that all of your information is accurate. You should keep close track of all of your addresses and make sure they are included. They need to match the information you provided on previous MSIC applications.
